Mission

Onionpatch Infant Care has adopted the philosophy that all areas of development (social, emotional, intellectual and physical) are equally important in the development of a healthy child.  We believe that the early years are critical and the quality of care they receive during these years can have lasting impacts.  We believe that optimum learning and development occurs in children when they feel loved, safe and secure.  Onionpatch Infant Care provides a supportive, predictable environment where children and parents can depend on the caregivers for attention, guidance and caring.

The Onionpatch Creed and Core Values

Respect - I will be courteous and respectful to everyone.
Cooperation - I will communicate effectively and solve problems with my creative skills.
Safety - I will keep this facility clean as it is a reflection of me.
Support - I will be kind.
Dignity - I will be appropriate in my dress and my communication.
Creativity - I will be creative and stretch myself to provide learning opportunities for my children that push them to be better than they think they can be.
Innovation - I will provide an environment that is inspiring, motivating and innovative.
Excellence - I will never be satisfied with what is good enough because I want the best.

Ad semper existo optimus – to ever be the best!

Why Choose Onionpatch Infant and Daycare

We believe that a child should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of their life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beauty which God has implanted in the human soul. We believe in developing the whole child. A good religious background is the foundation on which we base many of our inherent and learned behaviors - everything from treating others with kindness to motivating oneself to do better comes from the heart of Christian philosophy. We believe that this is a key component in the development of productive citizens.

Onionpatch Curriculum

Onionpatch Infant and Daycare has chosen to use the Pinnacle Curriculum which is a research-based early childhood curriculum, designed with both teachers and students in mind. Based on the works of Piaget, Gardner, and Erikson, Pinnacle provides teachers with lessons that engage children in developmentally appropriate activities.

All aspects of developmentally appropriate instruction in the areas of music, bible focus, language, fine and gross motor skills, social and emotional development, art and outdoor play are engaged each day for all children of all abilities.

Staff

All staff at Onionpatch Infant Care have undergone first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training. At Onionpatch Infant Care we encourage higher and continued education and have partnered with various local and overseas providers to ensure our staff is up to date with the latest techniques, programmes and products in early childhood education.
